The UMKC School of Nursing and Health Studies provide resources to help international students determine eligibility including the International Student Admission Policy and Procedure (pdf) for Nursing students.
Graduates of foreign nursing schools must complete the Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools (CGFNS) qualifying examination and the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) with passing scores prior to admission to the School of Nursing and Health Studies. The school may also assess the level of current clinical skills prior to enrollment in clinical course work.
Students must also complete a CFGNS Credentials Evaluation Service (CES) report to determine equivalency of course work. The Full Education Course-by-Course Report must be requested with a copy sent to the School of Nursing and Health Studies. For more information and specific testing dates, visit CGFNS.
