Dr. Michelle Birdashaw is a Clinical Associate Professor and serves as the Interim Director of the BSN program at the University of Missouri in Kansas City, MO. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree at Washburn University in Topeka, KS; her Masters Degree with an FNP focus from the University of Kansas; and her Doctorate of Nursing Practice degree from the University of Kansas. Dr. Birdashaw holds dual certifications through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners as a Family and Emergency Nurse Practitioner and maintains practice as an Emergency Nurse Practitioner serving rural communities in both Kansas and Missouri. With over 17 years in nursing education and leadership, Dr. Birdashaw has experience teaching courses such as Critical and Emergent Care Nursing, undergraduate and graduate Health Assessment, as well as Health Care Policy, Leadership, and Informatics.
