The School of Nursing and Health Studies regularly works with public health agencies, health care systems, hospitals, schools and other non-profits to strengthen our students’ knowledge base and promote a culture of health in the process.

Community members can expect to see our faculty and students at health and wellness fairs administering flu shots, conducting health screenings and conducting needs assessments. Our program also works with the Prep-KC to host the Health Science Accelerated Academy to introduce high school students from underrepresented populations to careers in nursing and other health professions.
