Newest Issue of STARS (Student’s Achievement in Research and Scholarship) Now Available

February 1, 2016

See what your fellow students at the School of Nursing are up to in the latest issue of STARS!

This semi-annual publication (summer and winter) highlights the scholarship accomplishments of your student peers, and also provides introductory and contact information in case you are interested in participating in scholarship activities yourself.

By scholarship we mean professional and systematic activities that advance the teaching, research, and practice of nursing. Whether you were aware of it or not, you’ve probably seen or heard about professional scholarship through faculty/student publications, presentations, and/or research. Because of the importance of scholarship activities to the development of the nursing profession, we want to encourage an academic environment in which you see and learn about (or better yet, participate in) professional scholarship.

STARS is intended to inform you about student scholarship activities in the School of Nursing, acknowledge students’ accomplishments in nursing scholarship, and alert you to available scholarship opportunities.

I hope you enjoy this new issue, and that you’ll let me know if you have any scholarship activities of your own that should be included in future issues!
