FNP students to receive scholarship from Walgreens

UMKC selected by the Healthcare Clinic at select Walgreens to receive scholarships for family nurse practitioner student in 2014!

Deborah Prior, MSN,ARNP,FNP-C (second from the left), Market Manager of Clinic Operations for the Healthcare Clinic at select Walgreens presented a scholarship check to Dr. Ann Cary, Dean of the School of Nursing and Health Studies (SoNHS) to fund a Family Nurse Practitioner student in 2014 at UMKC. Looking on are Dr. Susan Kimble (right), Director of the DNP Program and Michael Johnson (left), UMKC Institutional Advancement Representative. The family nurse practitioner student selected for the scholarship will demonstrate interest in retail healthcare, complete a clinical rotation at a Healthcare Clinic in Walgreens, and be in the final year of the program. “Our nurse practitioners are at the very center of our model of patient care and our most precious asset…Together we can define the future of healthcare”.
