Dr. Sandra Romero Receives a 2011 ASBMR Young Investigator Award

Dr. Sandra Romero, a post-doctoral student in Dr. Marco Brotto’s lab has recently have been selected to receive a 2011 ASBMR (American Society of Bone and Mineralized Research) Young Investigator Award for her abstract presentation entitled The ß-catenin Activating Factor, Wnt3a, stimulates Skeletal Muscle Myogenesis. As an ASBMR Young Investigator Award recipient, Sandra will receive an honorarium and a plaque commemorating this award. The School of Nursing is very proud to have Sandra on staff and is supportive of her work with the Brotto Lab.
