Jennifer Dixey, MLIS, is the primary administrator for the Collaborative to Advance Health Services’ online learning portal, HealtheKnowledge (http://healtheknowledge.org/), and a member of the Collaborative’s web development and data management team. She has more than twenty years’ experience in web development, online learning, and interactive digital media. Jennifer earned her Master’s of Library and Information Studies from the University of British Columbia iSchool (SLAIS) in 2009. She has web application development experience with open source content management systems including Drupal and WordPress, and with many online learning platforms including Moodle, Blackboard, Desire2Learn, and Canvas. Jennifer has presented at educational and library conferences on technical topics including open source software, online learning, remote laboratories, ebook technologies and trends, and web design for mobile learners. With a professional background including business administration, interactive media, institutions of higher learning and public libraries, Jennifer believes strongly in the World Wide Web as a vehicle for lifelong learning.
