Amanda Lee is serving her second term as Treasurer for the SoNHS Alumni Board. She currently works as a rheumatology infusion nurse at Altus Biologics, where she runs her own infusion clinic and enjoys every moment of it. Interestingly, Amanda did not begin her career in nursing. She first earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Apparel Design from Kansas State University, followed by a master’s degree in Textile Science. However, she soon discovered that the apparel and textile field was highly volatile and lacked the stability she desired. With strong encouragement to explore nursing, Amanda eventually made the transition—and she now loves being part of the profession. Coming from a family of nurses, Amanda is proud to carry on that legacy. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with her three dogs.
