Alauna Christian is a dedicated and accomplished nursing professional with over thirteen years of experience in health care. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Missouri–Kansas City in 2019, graduating with honors and receiving the Leadership in Nursing award. She later completed her Master of Science in Nursing at the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2023, specializing as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.

Alauna currently serves as a PMHNP at University Health (formerly Truman Medical Center), where she specializes in interventional psychiatry and mental health research. She is actively contributing to the development of a psychiatric fellowship program for advanced practice providers within the University Health system. Beyond her clinical and academic work, Alauna is the Founder and CEO of Mindful Mountain Inc., a nonprofit organization established in 2020. Mindful Mountain aims to reduce mental health stigma—particularly within minority communities—by increasing access to culturally responsive mental health resources. The organization is currently expanding to provide direct care through a multidisciplinary team of providers.
