Online Programs

At the UMKC School of Nursing & Health Studies, online programming is the norm. We’ve been doing it since 1989 and are recognized as a campus leader in education via distance technology methods. We believe that to provide for our individual students’ needs, in all phases of our program, we need to be flexible enough to offer online options wherever applicable. Our programs are not one size fits all – some are partially online, some are completely online and some are on-site, but use distance technology in some portion of the coursework. Whatever our students’ situation might be, we have the program and the flexibility to fit their needs.

Our faculty and staff are committed to providing the highest quality Nursing education in an interactive environment. And, as an added benefit, tuition for our online programs is the same as in-state resident fees for students who hold current licensure as a registered nurse in the United States and are eligible for licensure in the state of Missouri, regardless of the number of credit hours you take. Some of our online programs have an on-site visit requirement at some time during the program. Please consult the program page you are interested in for more specific information. Our popular adult and family nurse practitioner emphasis areas, part of the BSN-DNP program, are offered on-site with part of the program coursework online.
