Teaching Assistant Professor
Renee Semarge started as a Teaching Assistant Professor with the Bachelor of Health Sciences degree program in fall 2013. Before joining UMKC, Renee earned a Master’s of Public Health (MPH) from the University of Kansas and worked for several years at local health departments. She has experience in disease investigation, lead poisoning prevention, HIV prevention, and investigation of environmental hazards. Currently, Renee is a liaison between the Capacity Building Assistance Provider Network, headquartered at UMKC, and providers nationwide who train organizations on the latest methods of HIV prevention. Renee’s interests include disease prevention and health promotion.
